They already have a design department and a well established brand but occasionally need freelance help with extra workload and special projects.

Storyhouse first contacted me to help create a program for The Great Get Together, a festival with older people at its heart, inspired by the tragic loss of MP Jo Cox. In partnership with Brightlife, its aim was to raise awareness of how communities can work together to help end loneliness.

My challenge was to ensure the program was true to Storyhouse’s existing brand guidelines. While ensuring all the relevant information was presented in a clear and concise manner, enabling customers to access the workshops and performances.

I went on to work on a variety of different projects for Storyhouse over the next 2 years including several more festival programs, posters, digital posters and social media graphics.

“We have used Saladbomb for a range of design briefs, some complex and some to extremely tight deadlines. Sally always approaches design with an open mind, she is adaptable, responsive and has a consistent creative flair and energy. She is also smart, and always looks at things from the clients perspective.”
